CoduWorks imports an ETS `.knxproj` file into a cloud workspace, keeps KNX context available for review, prepares a Control4 structure, and exports a `.codu` package for its Composer driver. The integrator reviews rooms, devices, group addresses, DPTs, gateways, and exceptions before the build. The product reduces repetitive work; it does not replace professional validation or commissioning.

## Workflow

1. Upload a processable ETS5 or ETS6 `.knxproj`.
2. Read topology, locations, devices, ComObjects, group addresses, and DPT context.
3. Review rooms, names, device types, mappings, gateways, and warnings.
4. Export a reviewed `.codu` package.
5. Review the driver action plan and create supported structure in Composer.

Encrypted projects require their password. CSV, ESF, and OPC can be references but are not equivalent inputs. Generated mappings, project-specific logic, and feedback paths must be checked before commissioning.

## Device matrix and licensing

| Type | Public variants | Treatment | License |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lights | switch, dimmer | Supported; review command and feedback | Counted |
| Blinds | percentage, open/close | Supported; review position, direction, and feedback | Counted |
| Thermostats | project template | Template plus setpoint, mode, DPT, and feedback review | Counted |
| KNX/IP gateways | tunnelling, routing | Validate network, line, and route | Counted |
| Contacts | binary/default | Included in the current launch offer | No allowance use now |
| Relays | default | Included in the current launch offer | No allowance use now |
| Motion sensors | DPT 1, 5 %, 5 byte, 18, 20 | Included in the current launch offer; review payload | No allowance use now |
| Keypad buttons | press/release, toggle, click on/off, value | Included in the current launch offer; review events | No allowance use now |

Buildings, floors, rooms, and areas never use the device allowance. Combinations outside this matrix are context or exceptions until validated; they are not promised as automatic creation.

## Pricing

- Small Project: EUR 150 launch price (previously EUR 300), up to 75 counted devices.
- Big Project: EUR 300 launch price (previously EUR 600), 76–300 counted devices.
- Monster Project: 301+ counted devices, priced by project.

These are one-time project licenses. Taxes are applied as legally required. Launch-offer inclusions may change in a future offer.

## Security and data

The service processes account/security data, uploaded files, mappings, and outputs. AI features may send relevant project inputs to AI providers. Access is account- and project-scoped. Project deletion removes heavy KNX relational data while retaining KNX metadata and a deleted-state Control4 structure for audit/history. Unreferenced temporary extraction directories are pruned after 168 hours. Agent conversation and audit retention is configured to 90 days. Privacy requests: info@coduworks.com.

## Questions observed in search

These answers group intent observed in Google Search Console on 2026-08-18.

### How does a Control4 KNX integration work with CoduWorks?

The platform imports the ETS project, keeps topology and group addresses available for review, prepares the Control4 structure, and exports a `.codu` package. The driver shows the plan and creates only supported, installer-reviewed structure and devices in Composer.

### Does CoduWorks support ETS6 projects?

Yes. It supports processable ETS5 and ETS6 `.knxproj` files. Encrypted projects need their password, and topology, DPTs, mappings, and feedback must still be validated before commissioning.

### Does the product include a Control4 driver editor?

Yes. It combines a cloud editor with KNX and Control4 context, `.codu` export, and a CoduWorks Composer driver. It is not a native ETS export and does not replace Composer.

### Which KNX devices can the Control4 driver create?

The public matrix above lists the supported and launch-offer device families. Each variant still requires command, feedback, DPT, and semantic review.
